Past Events

The Covid pandemic has left many organizations unable to hold annual events and fundraisers and the Bellevue Historical Society is no exception.   The restoration process of our grand 1846 lady, The Tremont House has continued, however we still need to keep the funding coming in to help reach our goals.  The Bellevue Historical Society group it hosting a "No Contact" mouthwatering, lip smackin' 1/2 Chicken Dinner with Baked Potato, Green Beans, Roll and Butter.  Have a sweet tooth? Treat yourself to a serving of yummy Vanilla Ice Cream for Dessert!  Utensils, napkin, salt & pepper, butter and sour cream are included.

Pick up on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 11am - 2pm or until we run out.  Please read the flyer below for all the details and we hope you all take the opportunity on Sunday to stay out of the kitchen, stop by to pick up your dinner and perhaps go on a picnic to enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

Cemetery Walk

Date:  September 17, 2020

Time: 6pm
Meet at the maintenance building on Cherry Boulevard at 5:50pm

Wheres the Tour:  Bellevue Cemetery

Host:  Brian Foos will host this year's Cemetery Walk.  

This event is FREE to the public
Bellevue Historical Society's popular cemetery walk by funeral director Brian Foos, will take place at 6:00pm on Thursday, September 17th, 2020 at the Bellevue Cemetary
Meet at the maintenance building on Cherry Boulevard at 5:50pm and prepare to hear some interesting stories about many of Bellevue's late citizens! 
Please bring your mask and respect your fellow walkers spatial distance (6 feet or more) .

Bellevue Historical Society Annual Sunflower Sale

Date:  Saturday, July 15, 2017
Where:  Golden Acorn on N. West Street, Bellevue
Time:  Starts at 10:00am to 5:00pm or until the Sunflowers are gone.

The Bellevue Historical Society is having their 7th Annual Sunflower Sale with the proceeds going to the Tremont House Restoration Project.

Golden Acorn will once again be hosting this annual event located on N. West Street, Bellevue where people can purchase beautiful sunflowers by the stem or one of the arrangements available.  Also, you are welcome to bring your own contrainer and have it filled with bright cheery sunflowers combined with various greens to brighten your day.  Premade arrangements will be designed and available for customers to pick up and take home as well.

SUNFLOWER COOKIES!  Annie Burkart will be busy baking her famous and ohhhh so delicious sunflower cookies again this year which she graciously donates the profits that will go directly to the Tremont House Project.  The cookies will be for sale also.

Be sure to take some time and stop inside the Golden Acron and look around!  It's an amazing store with a huge variety of unique gifts, kitchenware, artist greeting cards, specialty books for children and adults, artisan jewelry, pop up cards and so much more.  You can visit Golden Acorns Facebook page also.

On July 15, 2016 between 9am and 4pm,  stop by and purchase a big beautiful happy sunflower by the stem, or bring your own vase or whatever you prefer and have your sunflowers arranged in it with added greens.  Vases of sunflowers will also be already made up and ready for you to take home or give a friend. Order a fun Sunflower Cake for that small gathering of friend or family. Bellevue Historical Society is taking orders for these little beauties. And they taste delicious also.
