The Historical Society’s Annual Meeting was postponed to April this year.
The later date did not affect attendance, as a good crowd attended the event, held at the Society for the Arts on Thursday, April 5, 2018.
During the business meeting, Treasurer Mary Mitchell provided a Financial Report, President John Miller provided an update on the Tremont House Project and Election of Directors was held.
Larry Claus, Jeannie Gore, Judy Miller, Mary Mitchell, and Alicia Robles were elected to two-year terms.
Mary Mitchell introduced the program, ‘Bellevue Remembered’ with texts of excerpts from the 2002 Wallpaper Project for Ohio's Bicentennial.
Pat Sullivan, Bill Oddo, and Peggy Missler read from their interviews. Gail Coe read for her father, Bob Wagner. April Bickel represented her mother, Hazel Decker.
Current Bellevue Police Chief Mark Kaufman read the reminiscences of former Chief Russell Hetrick.
Willis Lodge’s memories of life in Bellevue were read by his daughter, LeRose Meadows; and his wartime memories were read by daughter Sue Andrews.
